How I Get Clients While on Vacation (And How You Can Too)
Hey there! I'm writing this post from sunny San Diego where I'm currently on vacation with my family—yes, vacation. But here's the kicker… even while I’m away, I’m still getting new leads and clients daily—all thanks to social media.
If you’re a real estate agent or entrepreneur and want to learn how to build and scale your business without cold calling, door knocking, or spending your weekends at open houses, I’ve got you. Let’s dive into how to make social media work for you—so you can grow a thriving business and still have a life.
1. Pick a Platform and Go All In
The very first step? Choose your platform. It doesn’t matter if it’s Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, or Facebook—just pick one and go all in.
For me, it was Instagram. I committed to posting every single day for 30 days. At first? Crickets. A few likes here and there. But by month three? I started seeing traction—DMs, leads, and real conversations that turned into real business.
Pro tip: Don’t try to be everywhere all at once. Master one platform first, then consider adding others later.
2. Create a Posting Schedule (and Stick to It)
Let me tell you from experience—waking up every day wondering “what should I post?” is not the move. It’s stressful and unsustainable. Instead, create a content calendar.
Now? I have my content planned a full month in advance. If that sounds overwhelming, start small. Batch one week’s worth of content. Then two. Then a month.
Use tools like Canva to create posts, and while you're at it, batch your videos and graphics. If you're doing a home tour, film 10-15 short videos while you’re already at the property. Work smarter, not harder.
3. Decide Your Posting Frequency
Will you post once a day? Three times a week? Set a goal that’s realistic for you and your life. Once you've got your content batched, you can schedule it out using a tool or even just set reminders to post manually.
The key is consistency. That’s what builds trust with your audience—and what trains the algorithm to push your content to more people.
4. Be Social on Social Media
Once you start posting consistently, people will start interacting with your content—and you need to engage back!
Social media is meant to be a two-way conversation. Comment back, like their stuff, start conversations in DMs. The more engagement you get, the more the platform rewards you with visibility.
5. Play the Long Game
Here’s the truth most people won’t tell you: It’s going to take time.
Most agents quit after a month because “nothing happened.” But if you keep showing up daily—even when it feels like no one’s watching—the results will come. Sometimes it takes 3, 6, even 12 months to see the compounding effects. But it works. Trust me.
6. Repurpose, Repurpose, Repurpose
Once you have content that performs well on one platform, don’t stop there. Use that same video or post on your other platforms. My Instagram reels get repurposed onto Facebook and TikTok. My YouTube videos attract out-of-state buyers who are relocating. It all works together.
Same content. More reach. Less work.
7. Let Social Media Work For You
At this point, my social platforms are working around the clock—even while I’m relaxing on the beach. I’ve had clients reach out because they saw a reel I posted months ago, or found my video while searching for a specific city on YouTube.
This is exactly what I teach in my weekly mastermind group, where we talk all things content strategy, social growth, and building a modern business that doesn’t burn you out.
If you’re ready to stop chasing leads and start attracting them using social media, let’s connect.
