What If You Could Sell More Properties by Being YOURSELF?

Hello, everyone! Mariah Koehle here, and welcome back to my blog! If you're new here, I'm a licensed real estate agent and coach passionate about helping others thrive in the industry. Today, I want to share a personal experience that taught me the incredible power of being your authentic self and how it can transform your business.

Recently, my family and I took a trip to Florida, and we had the opportunity to visit Magic Kingdom for the first time. As we explored the park with my four kids, a moment with my eight-year-old twins stood out. While waiting in line for a ride, my daughter approached the height measurement gauge. Though she was well below the required height, she stood tall and proudly declared, “I’m happy being me! I’m the perfect size!”

Her confident response struck me deeply. It reminded me how often we, as business owners, try to fit into molds or emulate others instead of embracing our unique qualities. My daughter didn’t feel the need to apologize for not meeting the height requirement. She was comfortable in her own skin, and that mindset is crucial for us as we build our brands.

Embrace Your Strengths

In business, many of us struggle with the fear of inadequacy, believing we need to be someone we're not to succeed. But what if, instead, we focused on our strengths and passions? Just like my daughter, we must recognize that our individual qualities make us extraordinary.

As I continued to reflect on this lesson during our trip, I observed my other children navigating the challenges of travel. One of my sons, feeling cramped in his airplane seat, complained about the lack of space. Meanwhile, my daughter was comfortably settled, emphasizing that we all have different experiences and perspectives. This idea extends to our careers, too. Each of us has unique skills and interests that can shape our approach to business.

Take a moment to identify your strengths. Are you a natural coach? A master negotiator? A connector in your community? Whatever it may be, leverage those qualities to create a brand that resonates with who you are. If you love hosting community events or showcasing beautiful homes, embrace those passions and make them central to your business strategy.

Try Something New

If you’re feeling uncertain about your strengths or how to build your brand authentically, I have a tip for you: try something that piques your interest. For me, social media wasn’t on my radar until I needed to rebuild my real estate business in a new area. Initially, I was hesitant, but I decided to give it a shot.

Here’s the secret: commit to trying something for 90 days. You might not see immediate results, but you’ll learn valuable lessons about what works for you and what doesn’t. Even if it feels challenging at first, remember that every expert was once a beginner. Embrace the learning process and allow yourself the grace to grow.

What If It Was Fun?

As you explore new avenues, consider this question: What if it was fun? What if building your business could be enjoyable? Lean into what you love and let that passion shine through in your branding. The more authentic you are, the more connections you’ll forge, and the more your business will thrive.

In a year’s time, you’ll look back and marvel at how far you’ve come. Yes, the journey might be tough initially, but embracing your authentic self will make all the difference.

If you're ready to build and scale your business in a way that feels true to you, I’m here to help! Reach out via call, text, or email, and let’s explore how we can leverage the power of social media together. Remember, authenticity is key, so let’s embark on this journey to success together!
